Young, in Love, and Still Figuring Life Out

College is a time of discovery, figuring out who you are, what you believe, and what you want out of life. Add love into the mix, and things get even more complicated.

In my debut novel, When Promises Break, the characters aren’t polished or perfect. They’re young adults trying to juggle academics, emotions, relationships, expectations, and the messiness that comes with all of it. It’s not about having it all figured out, it’s about learning through the moments that nearly break you.

The story follows Mark and Sandra, two college students whose connection runs deep but gets tested by their own growing pains. They’re navigating real-life decisions while still discovering who they are as individuals. It’s a story about choices, consequences, and the long road to emotional maturity.
